Apple Custard Milkshake – Confetti Apple Shake

Ingredients:

Ready made chilled Custard (I use a 400 gms can of Devon Custard) - see notes on how to make the custard at home 400 gms
Apple (Deep Red and Sweet) 1
Glace Cherries (see notes) 3
Indian sarsaparilla syrup / Nannari syrup 1 Tbsp
Cold milk 1 1/2  - 2 cups




Method:

  1. Add the cold, prepared custard into a blender
  2. Core the apple. Do not peel. Add to blender.
  3. Fill the can with milk and add to blender.  Or use 1 1/2 cups milk (cold milk). Add 1 1/2 cups milk first and add more if needed ).
  4. Add 3 glace cherries and the syrup.
  5. Blend it all together till creamy.
  6. Pour into transparent glasses and serve chilled.

Notes:

  • Devon Custard is a good brand for ready-made custard that comes in a can. It can be stored, to make such drinks and desserts instantly.
  • When using glace cherries, make sure to purchase those that taste good. Some glace cherries taste like cough syrup and will ruin the drink.
  • Add a few almonds or cashew nuts if desired, for extra texture.
